The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it will resume weekend road repair on Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and other major roads in Metro Manila starting October 11, 2019.
DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that with clearance of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), repairs will be undertaken at several sections of EDSA which include the southbound direction from Panorama Building to Bansalangin Street, 1st lane from sidewalk; after Mother Ignacia, 2nd lane from sidewalk; fronting Camp Crame Gate, 1st lane from sidewalk; and from Annapolis Street going to V. V. Soliven, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and at the northbound direction after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk.
Other major roads to undergo road reblocking includes the northbound direction of C5/Katipunan Avenue after C. P. Garcia Street, truck lane; and A. Bonifacio Avenue from Sergeant Rivera to J. Pineda Street, 2nd lane from sidewalk; at the eastbound direction of General Luis Street from Rebisco Road to SB Diversion Road; and Quirino Highway from before Belfast Road, outer lane; at the southbound direction of Gregorio Araneta Avenue (G. Araneta) from T. Arguelles to Bayanin, 1st lane from sidewalk; and at Elliptical Road after Maharlika Street, 6th lane from outer sidewalk.
Canlas said that the affected lanes will re-open at 5 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2019.
Motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes due to expected traffic slowdowns in areas with road repair activities.
