The Land Transportation Office (LTO), together with the country’s first landport, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), brings you LTO on Wheels, a public service project designed to make basic LTO services more accessible to motorists.
Part of LTO’s E-Patrol Operations/Outreach Program, the project also aims to prevent the public from dealing with unauthorized individuals or “fixers.”
According to PITX General Manager Mariano Arroyo, this partnership between PITX and LTO speaks of a shared commitment to providing public convenience through the services each entity offers.
“PITX aims to make commuting friendlier, while LTO wants to reach out to motorists. Both of us have objectives that benefit our fellow Filipinos, so we’re really supporting each other and working together to make things happen,” he explained.
Mr. Arroyo also emphasized PITX’s strategic location to bring government services closer to the public. In September alone, the landport reached an average weekday foot traffic of more than 50,000. This is expected to further increase this month as more provincial and city routes are opened.
“We’re happy to partner with LTO for the LTO on Wheels project. Hopefully, this partnership opens more opportunities of working together towards the fulfilment of our commitment of convenience for Filipinos,” said Mr. Arroyo.
LTO on Wheels will be parked at PITX Gate 1, 2nd level, on the following dates:
- • October 9 and 10
- • October 16 and 17
- • October 23 and 24
