
The Department of Transportation said rail lines total ridership reached 2.80 million since Metro Manila was placed on General Community Quarantine last June 1.
The agency said all four lines resumed operations, under a partial, gradual and calibrated approach – with limited capacity and with stringent social distancing and sanitary measures in place.
Within Phase 1 of the GCQ, which is from June 1 to 21, these are the following ridership numbers per rail line:
LRT-1 – 1,397,546
LRT-2 – 398,212
MRT-3 – 822,928
PNR – 180,339
