
J&T Express Philippines on Wednesday said it will cooperate with the government investigations its alleged mishandling of parcels and other consumer complaints.
“We appreciate the concern expressed by the President towards our customers’ welfare as well as the well-being of our many partners and employees,” Zoe Chi, vice president of J&T Express Philippines said.
“Furthermore, we will cooperate with the government in any investigation that it will conduct. We are committed to improving our services for the benefit of the public,” she added.
J&T Express’ statement came after President Duterte ordered an investigation about the viral video of mishandled parcels and other complaints.
Duterte ordered the National Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to investigate J&T as well as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to look at the finances of the logistic firm.
” Because of the so many complaints, I will close you down. Sigurado ‘yan sasarahan talaga kita whether you like it or not after the CIDG and the NBI finish their investigation and point a liability sa inyo,” Duterte said.
Besides the Philippines, J&T Express operates in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
