
Globe Telecom Inc. is building more cell sites nationwide in a bid to expand further its network capability.
The Ayala-led telco is constructing cell sites in Aklan, Albay, Batangas, Bohol, Bulacan, Cebu, Davao del Sur, Iloilo, Laguna, Metro Manila, Maguindanao, Negros Occidental, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Zamboanga, Sulu, Capiz, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Palawan, North Cotabato, Leyte, Bukidnon, Benguet, Zambales .
The construction will start this month until the end of the third quarter of 2020.
The company assures that customers will be informed in advance where the cell sites will be installed should there be any minimal disruptions.
“We heed the call of our customers for more connectivity that’s why we continue to expand our coverage and capacity even during a pandemic. The new cell sites will further improve our services not only in major cities but also in rural areas,” Joel Agustin, Globe senior vice president for Program Development-Network Technical Group said.
“Upon completion, these will help improve overall network experience,” he added.
Despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, Globe continues its aggressive network expansion programs for the rest of the year to support the increasing demand for data services.
Under the new normal, consumers, business entities, and local government units have begun to realize the essential value of connectivity.
