Three out of four Filipinos  want Congress to renew the 25-year franchise of ABS-CBN Corp, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

The survey, which was released on Saturday showed that  57 percent of adult Filipinos “strongly” agreed that ABS-CBN should be granted a  franchise, while 19 percent “somewhat” agreed. 

Some 5 percent of the respondents “somewhat” disagreed, while 8 percent “strongly” disagreed. 

The survey further said that 10 percent of the respondents were “undecided. 

The SWS National Mobile Phone Survey was done on July 3 to 6. 

SWS surveyed  1,555 adult respondents, 306 of who are from Metro Manila, 451 in Balance Luzon, 388 in the Visayas, and 410 in Mindanao.

Last July 10, 70 of the House committee on legislative franchises junked the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN, while 11 favored of the renewal.
