The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) wants local government units (LGUs) to implement a shorter curfew for longer business hours.
Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said longer operating hours would help restaurants and fast-food chains with dine-in services to accommodate more customers.
“I hope they will allow it because it will give additional income. Instead of 10 p.m., make it 12,” he added.
The DTI would expand the capacity of dine-in services from 30 percent to to 50 percent by July 21 general community quarantine areas.
The capacity for Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) will be increased to 75 percent from 50 percent.
