The Department of Transportation said the construction of Metro Rail Transit Line-7 is on track to be completed by 2021.
The agency said the compete rate of MRT7 is now at 58.95 percent as of June 2020.
Once completed by 2021, this 22-kilometer rail line will reduce travel times between Quezon City and San Jose del Monte City from two to three hours to only 35 minutes.
The P69.3-billion MRT7 project, which will have 14 stations, is being built by San Miguel Corp.
MRT-7 is expected to serve 300,000 to 850,000 passengers per day, with room for capacity expansion to accommodate future increase in ridership, once operational.
