STI College taps PLDT Enterprise for e-Learning

STI College, one of the largest networks of schools in the Philippine has partnered with PLDT Enterprise to provide its students with connectivity to enable e-Learning.

With the tie-up, more than 80,000 students of STI across the country will benefit from Smart GIGA Study data plan to ensure their connectivity.

The concept of online learning is not new to STI, as the institution already implemented a blended learning mode for the past six years using an eLearning Management System (eLMS) for students to continue their studies at home uninterrupted despite the physical classroom disruptions.

The plan gives STI students access to its pre-defined school apps—from eLMS, Microsoft Office 365, ONE STI Student Portal, and to other collaborative online learning tools — allowing them to safely study whenever and wherever they are while remaining connected.

“We at PLDT Enterprise aims to support the needs of our modern-day learners so they never stop dreaming amid the current situation. And with this partnership, we fully support STI as they enable their students with connectivity and technologies to continue their education,”  Jovy Hernandez, ePLDT president & chief executive said.

STI’s new learning model strengthens its existing blended learning mode which combines independent online learning via eLMS at home with the invaluable hands-on training in industry-grade laboratories and classroom discussions  at  STI campuses nationwide.

“STI has always been  committed to provide real life education through the development and delivery of superior learning systems, and this partnership with PLDT Enterprise strengthens this mission further especially during this critical time,”  Aisa Hipolito, vice president for Academics of STI.

In the advent of online education, PLDT Enterprise aims to redefine the future of learning for Filipino students so they never stop dreaming through its continuous engagements with universities, colleges, schools, and learning institutions across the country.
