DOTr says PNR Clark Phase 1 Project now 40% complete as of July

The Department of Transportation said the PNR Clark Phase 1 project from Tutuban, Manila to Malolos, Bulacan is now 39.70 percent complete as of July this year. 

The 38-km. rail line , which will connect Tutuban, Manila to Malolos, Bulacan, will reduce travel time from about 1 hour and 30 minutes to just 35 minutes. 

PNR Clark Phase 1 is a part of the North–South Commuter Railway (NSCR), that will run from thr New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac to Calamba, Laguna.

The project was originally conceptualized in the 1990s, but has been halted due to various disagreements on funding and other issues. 

Currently, the project’s over-all progress continues to roll with a completion rate of 39.70 percent as of July 2020.

This includes the completion of the detailed engineering design, procurement of contract packages, as well as the project’s construction.
