PITX resumes operations Metro Manila revers to GCQ

Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), the country’s first landport, resumes operations on Wednesday as Metro Manila reverts to General Community Quarantine conditions following the two-week Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine implemented in the National Capital Region last August 3.

SAFETY MEASURES

In line with the Department of Transportation’s memorandum on the mandatory wearing of face shields for those taking public transportation, PITX has also updated its safety measures to include the wearing of face shield at all times within terminal premises. The No Face Mask and Face Shield, No Entry policy is now strictly enforced in the landport, whether or not an individual is a passenger.

Apart from the wearing of face shield, the following safety protocols are in place to help curb the spread of COVID-19:

  1. 1. Wearing of face mask
  2. 2. Physical distancing
  3. 3. Temperature scanning prior to entry
  4. 4. Shoe disinfection and hand sanitation

PITX has also installed a new thermal scanner attached to the metal detectors in all entrances. The scanner reads temperature through the wrist and signals whether or not an individual can be allowed entry to the terminal or not.
