PayMaya Philippines Inc. has partnered with PETNET’s retail network PERA HUB to further expand its reach across the country .
“Over the past few months, we have seen the importance of providing Filipinos an accessible way to send and receive money through our Smart Padala centers nationwide,” Shailesh Baldwin, president of PayMaya said.
“ Our partnership with PERA HUB allows us to offer such critical lifeline to even more Filipinos nationwide, so they can continue to have broad access to financial services, whether it’s sending remittances or adding money to their PayMaya accounts,”he added.
These PERA HUB branches will serve as additional touchpoints to the more than 30,000 Smart Padala outlets that are currently enabling Filipinos to send money to their loved ones.
“We are glad to partner with PayMaya and Smart Padala to be able to bridge the financial needs of more Filipinos through remittances and other financial services in our branches nationwide,” Ian Ocampo, president of PETNET said.
“We’re also able to give them a more convenient experience when adding money to their PayMaya accounts,” he added.
Meanwhile, users of the PayMaya app will soon be able to add money to their accounts at PERA HUB branches nationwide. This will provide them with additional add-money options on top of the already existing 40,000 touchpoints nationwide that include online banks via Instapay, 7Eleven branches, MiniStop branches, SM Business Centers, Robinson Department Stores, and Smart Padala agents, among others.
Once they have funds on their PayMaya accounts, users can already shop for their daily essentials, pay their bills, buy load, and so much more, from the safety of their homes.
Smart Padala is the country’s leading mobile remittance service under PayMaya Philippines. Its network of over 30,000 partner touchpoints nationwide serves as last mile digital financial hubs in communities, providing the unbanked and underserved with access to services.
PayMaya is the only end-to-end digital payments ecosystem enabler in the Philippines with platforms and services that cut across consumers, merchants, and government. Aside from providing payments acceptance for the largest e-Commerce, food, retail and gas merchants in the Philippines, PayMaya enables national and social services agencies as well as local government units with digital payments and disbursement services.
