
GCash, the mobile wallet of Globe Telecom Inc. has expanded its nationwide footprint as the number of cashless transactions reach an all time-high amid the pandemic.
“Nowadays, cashless is slowly becoming the norm, and increasing our cash-in outlets will help provide not only greater convenience to our users, but will also provide them a means to adapt to the new normal. Providing a wide array of cash-in touchpoints — both online and offline — is all about prioritizing the health and safety of our customers,” Martha Sazon, GCash president and chief executive said.
“While we already have over 33,000 branches nationwide as cash in locations for GCash users, this number is still seen to grow as we find more ways to cater to Filipinos across the archipelago and even outside,” she added.
GCash users may cash-in anytime and anywhere to their GCash wallets through partner grocery stores- Puregold and All Day, as well as retail outlets such as Robinsons Department Stores and Business Centers, SM Retail Outlets, LBC, Lawson, and Shell Select.
Aside from these, they can also cash-in via over the counter transaction in outlets such as Villarica Pawnshop, TrueMoney, Palawan Pawnshop, Tambunting, Pera Hub, RD Pawnshop, Express Pay, Jaro Pawnshop and Bayad Center.
GCash users can load their e-wallets for free via linked online BPI and Unionbank accounts and skip leaving their homes.
GCash has also partnered with over 40 banks such as BDO, Security Bank, Landbank, Metrobank, RCBC, and many more to ensure the fastest, convenient, and most secure way of funding mobile wallets.
GCash offers a variety of financial tools and services that enable Filipinos to transact digitally and physically. GCash users may use their e-wallets to transact with over 75,000 merchants, pay bills to more than 400 billers, and transfer money to over 40 banks in the Philippines.
Aside from this, GCash also empowers its users to own a savings account through its GSave Money Feature, which offers the highest-in-the industry interest rates; avail of a flexible and reasonably-priced credit line through GCredit; purchase affordable insurance the products through GCash Insurance and invest money in money market funds via GInvest.
These services complement the on-going campaign of the government to migrate cash-based transactions into cashless, as health protocols on physical distancing and limited human interaction continue to be in place.
